„Dear Sir or Madam,
Protecting girls and boys from sexual exploitation is a global challenge, as the Third World Congress in Rio de Janeiro in November 2008 showed us once again. Only joint and decisive action can lead to success in the end. At the European follow-up conference to Rio entitled “Protecting Children and Young People from Sexual Violence with a Focus on the New Media: Perspectives for Europe” we aim to discuss the next steps required at European level.“
Ursula von der Leyen, Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, Germany
